JETCAM and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation announce partnership
JETCAM International s.a.r.l. and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation have announced a partnership by signing the Developer Agreement of “LA-Module” with subsidiary company Mitsubishi Electric Mechatronics Software Corporation, whereby JETCAM will develop enhanced support for Mitsubishi’s range of CNC laser machines.
JETCAM has already developed integration with Mitsubishi’s LA-Module, allowing for easy selection of Mitsubishi cutting condition files.
The LA-Module is made from Mitsubishi’s own ‘LA CAM’ software as an engine of Mitsubishi laser machining know-how, optimising NC data for Mitsubishi CNC lasers and providing extremely accurate runtime estimation.
JETCAM has postprocessors that can either generate NC data and interface with the LA-Module to obtain the machining time estimation, or XML path data which interfaces with the LA-Module to generate NC data and machining time estimation. Both posts can retrieve condition file data and other machine parameter information.
Martin Bailey, general manager for JETCAM International s.a.r.l. comments: “This partnership allows JETCAM users to benefit from ‘best in class’ technology from CAD file to cut component. Utilising JETCAM’s total automation and coupled with Mitsubishi’s renowned speed and quality allows companies to significantly reduce the time to generate NC code, while ensuring the most accurate runtime estimation information for costing purposes.”
JETCAM International has been developing and distributing its JETCAM Expert range of CADCAM software since 1986. In use in over 80 countries worldwide, JETCAM Expert software supports virtually every CNC punching, laser, plasma, routing, waterjet and flatbed cutting machine available today, allowing users to program any combination of CNC machines with a single CAM system. The software has received various accolades and awards due to its high level of automation and fast return on investment.
