Scanning Sprays - The Perfect Solution for Shiny, Reflective, Black or Transparent Objects

Scanning Sprays - The Perfect Solution for Shiny, Reflective, Black or Transparent Objects It's no secret that scanning shiny, reflective, glossy, black or transparent components presents significant challenges for 3D scanners. The solution? A matting agent. In the past, chalk spray and baby powder were common, but today, highly refined and volatile 3D scanning sprays reign supreme.

Since 2018, Germany based MR Chemie GmbH has been developing, producing and distributing the REFLECON brand of 3D scanning sprays. Their range includes both classic permanent sprays and innovative sublimating sprays. With a wide selection, their range offers the right product for any application. REFLECON Tarnish 11, 12, 13, 50 and 90 are renowned worldwide, widely used and available in both traditional spray cans and bulk quantities for use with a spray gun.

MANCHESTER C
NEW: REFLECON 2in1 Scanning Spray TopoTrack - Matting and Reference Combined

Introducing the latest innovation from MR Chemie: the REFLECON TopoTrack scanning spray.

In many cases, scanners require reference points for orientation, typically attached and removed from the object after scanning. This process is particularly time-consuming for larger components. However, TopoTrack forms a structure on the surface, allowing the scanner to orientate itself and stabilise tracking. This eliminates the need for glued-on reference points, enabling faster manual guidance of the scanner and significantly reducing overall process time and costs. It's a game-changer! The product has been successfully tested with several scanners: - Shining 3D: Einstar, Einscan H, Einscan H2 - Artec 3D: Eva, Spider White light scanners greatly enhance their texture recording capabilities with the new spray. When combined with TopoTrack, even low-cost scanners can perform tasks previously reserved for more expensive models.

The TopoTrack forms an arbitrary structure of heights and depths, as you can see here under 1000x magnification. High-resolution scanners can orientate themselves on this.
