The Starrag Bumotec 191neo will be on show in Ireland

On Stand T7 in the Technology Demo Zone at the Manufacturing Solutions Ireland exhibition, Starrag will be presenting its latest innovations from across the company’s diverse portfolio of high-performance, solution-driven machine tools. Taking centre stage will be the Starrag Bumotec s191neo, which will be delivered to a customer on the Emerald Isle immediately after the event.

The exhibition at the Technological University of Shannon (TUS) on the 11th and 12th of June is a highlight in the Irish manufacturing calendar, and with a significant number of customers in Ireland, Starrag is excited to present the capabilities of the exceptional Bumotec s191neo machine. Starrag will complement this by introducing its latest turn/mill product lines that can now be viewed in the company’s new Bumotec virtual showroom (https://showroomvud.starrag.com/).

The virtual showroom is a replica of the Starrag facility in Switzerland, and it provides manufacturers with an opportunity to investigate a wide range of solution-based innovations from the small and compact s128 simultaneous 5-axis machining solution to the 36-axis s1000/C transfer machine with 8 machining stations in a single footprint platform. The virtual showroom has a multitude of machines that include the Bumotec s128, Ringma XX, s191V, S191H, the s1000/C, S100multi, the s181, s100mono, the s200, the s191neo, as well as the SIP5000 and SIP7000 ultra-precision vertical boring and milling centres. However, on Stand T7 at the Limerick event, the centrepiece will be the s191neo with its 5-axis simultaneous machining, up to 7 axes and 3 spindles with the potential for 90 tools and a host of peripheral equipment that make it the perfect all-rounder for precision small part machining.

Whilst the stand may boast the most dynamic machine at the event, Starrag is equally renowned for its more extensive and more robust machine tools for the general manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, offshore and power generation sectors. Therefore, Starrag experts attending the show will be keen to discuss the merits of the Heckert H Compact Series. This twin pallet horizontal machining centre delivers the benefits of a horizontal machine with a compact footprint that will appeal to manufacturers. The new Compact Heckert X series is fitted with a trunnion table that provides an impressive high speed/rigid simultaneous 5-axis capability. It can also incorporate a high-speed table for turning with the Heckert T series.

Larger machines in the Starrag family that will be presented include the impressive STC1250 HD horizontal machining centre. As the latest addition to the renowned STC Series for machining of the most demanding aerospace structural parts, multi-blades and casings, the STC Series provides excellent static and dynamic properties as well as tried and tested rotatable heads. The STC1250 HD offers a 1.25m by 1.25m pallet with a vast work envelope for workpiece loads up to 5,000kg on the pallet. This is complemented by an X, Y and Z-axis travel of 2.2 by 1.5 by 2.1m with a swing diameter of 2.2m.

Designed for large components, the Starrag team will also present the new Droop+Rein FOGS HD, a 6-axis overhead gantry-type machining centre available in a variety of dimensions with traverse paths from 3 to 31m in the X-axis, 3 to 6m in the Y-axis and 1.5 to 2.5m in the Z-axis. The Droop+Rein FOGS HD is an efficient 50 to 100kW powerhouse that delivers unsurpassed precision with fast and dynamic axes movement and an extremely high torque range from 2,400 to 7,500Nm. So, regardless of what your manufacturing requirements are, the Starrag stand at Manufacturing Solutions Ireland will have the solution for you.
