Another fabulous FABTECH for Unison Ltd

FABTECH 2025 proved to be a resounding success for Unison Ltd, the UK-based inventor of all-electric tube manipulation, and its North American division, Unison Tube LLC. Occupying a 2,000 sq. ft. booth in order to showcase a wider selection of its tube, pipe and wire forming technologies at the Chicago event, the company achieved just short of 300 high quality leads.

“FABTECH is always a key fixture on our annual exhibition calendar,” says Stuart Singleton, VP and North American Sales Manager of Danville VA-based Unison Tube LLC. “In part, that’s why we chose to exhibit on a much larger scale this year – a decision that proved more than worthwhile.”

Visitors to Unison’s booth – #D42137 – were able to discover the capabilities of one of the firm’s 25 mm (maximum tube diameter) bi-directional left-hand/right-hand all-electric Breeze tube bending machines. A Unison EvBend 1000 manually operated, CNC-controlled tube bending machine was also on display. As was one of the company’s hybrid-electric, dual-stack Synergy 50 mm tube bending machines.

An all-electric Unison Twinhead machine caught the attention of delegates looking to achieve high-speed manufacturing of symmetrical shapes, while a small-bore tube bending machine from Unison’s sister company, Pneuform Machines Ltd, appealed to businesses involved in small-diameter tube bending. During the event, significant advances in tube simulation software were also presented, including Unison’s Opt2Sim Scan tube scanning software, which utilises a Creaform handheld 3D scanner.

“The EvBend 1000 manual machine received a great deal of interest, particularly from aerospace and performance automotive companies looking to produce small volumes of high-precision parts,” explains Stuart Singleton. “Our Twinhead machine was of considerable interest to several organisations looking to manufacture symmetrical components, while orders were placed for our hybrid-electric and wire bending machines.”

Demonstrations of Unison’s advanced Opt2Sim Suite of tube simulation software and its Opt2Sim Scan portable 3D tube scanning and measurement system also proved highly popular.

Comprising a range of advanced, subscription-based tube simulation software products, Opt2Sim Suite offers manufacturers a precise, virtual insight into the components they wish to make before a single part is bent. While for precise, portable 3D tube scanning, Opt2Sim Scan is possibly the most advanced hand-held tube measurement system on the market.

“FABTECH 2025 was a fantastic event for us,” concludes Stuart Singleton. “We’re busy processing enquiries and looking forward to meeting friends old and new in Las Vegas for FABTECH 2026.”

Unison Ltd: intelligent tube technology

Unison Ltd is the UK’s leading manufacturer of tube and pipe bending machines and continually innovates the tube and pipe bending marketplace. The company manufactured the world’s first all-electric tube bender in 1994, followed by the world’s first all-electric multi-stack tube bender, then the world’s largest all-electric tube bender for the shipbuilding industry. Available in single-stack, multi-stack and right/left varieties, Unison machines are delivered to more than 20 countries globally. Unison’s tube bending software is recognised as the most user-friendly control system for tube bending machines. The software is written and supported by Unison, ensuring complete control of its evolution, with no need for third party support.
