The revolutionary HandySCAN 3D/EVO Series™ from Creaform was unveiled by Measurement Solutions Ltd at the prestigious Silverstone Museum. An impressive number of attendees, mainly from the automotive industry, were treated to informative presentations and the opportunity to try out the new technology for themselves. 

Part of the HAndySCAN 3D™ line up, the industry standard in portable metrology-grade 3D scanners, the new EVO version features a powerful embedded graphical user interface that enhances user experience and efficiency, while delivering Creaform’s renowned metrology-grade qualities, i.e. proven reliability, renowned portability and unmatched accredited accuracy.

By integrating augmented reality (AR) capability and a 12 mp camera, the EVO Series further streamlines and enhances the inspection process, enabling quality professionals to document part assessments better and faster, as well as execute workflows more efficiently.

The HandySCAN 3D/EVO Series also offers wireless capability and a robust 3D metrology platform, providing a fully integrated solution, redefining ease-of-use, and enabling first time users to quickly master the technology, while also meeting the needs of more advanced technicians. Working distance is from 200 mm to 750 mm.

Featuring an intuitive interface, user-friendly tools, embedded content and learning tutorials, Creaform.OS software enhances the efficiency of the new scanner. This includes: Scan-toCAD, a highly intuitive reverse engineering tool for transferring data extracted from 3D scans to any CAD platform; Inspection – comprehensive and powerful software designed for efficient and accurate dimensional inspection; Automation – a user-friendly integrated programming platform for deploring automated quality control solutions; Dynamic Tracking – enabling simultaneous positioning and orientation of multiple objects at the same time.
