MACH Machine Tools to exhibit four best-selling models on its stand at Southern Manufacturing.
MACH Machine Tools, part of the Vigilance Group and a leading supplier of new CNC and manual machine tools and machine shop equipment to UK, Irish and European component manufacturers, has announced that it will be showcasing four of its best-selling machine tools on its three adjacent stands (H275, H290 and H310) at the Southern Manufacturing Show in February 2025.
The machines, comprising a MACH VS-1 SP manual mill, a MACH L-1330 lathe and two models from its popular toolroom series - a MACH MDS 845-24T and a MACH MDS 900-4T – demonstrate the depth, breadth and ever-growing and evolving range of high-quality and competitively-priced manual and CNC machines now available from MACH Machine Tools.
MACH Machine Tools’ overriding ‘value proposition’ underpinning and substantiating its presence at the Show is unequivocal.
This proposition challenges visitors to look at potential machine tool purchases they may make in the future, asking them before they act to first compare and contrast them against equivalent MACH machines; the bottom line being that they could be paying more for what, in effect, is going to be an inferior machine.
The ‘why pay more for less’ argument is direct and unambiguous. Exactly what one would expect from a machine tool supplier whose redefinition of the ‘value for money’ proposition has been instrumental in the helping the company grow and take market share from the competition in recent years.
Says Dave Andrew, Group Managing Director, the Vigilance Group:
“We’re pushing the boat out at this year’s Southern Manufacturing Show.
“Best-in-class MACH manual machines rubbing shoulders with (two) MACH CNC milling machines that are both equipped with the, now legendary, DynaPath control.
“It’s a great opportunity for show visitors to see the technical specifications of our machines and to compare them against other manufacturers’ machines on the market.
The machines on show – a closer look
The MACH VS-1 SP is a manual turret-type milling machine that delivers high accuracies, fast processing speeds and outstanding reliability. A firm favourite with toolmakers and component manufacturers alike, the machine has a rigid design and build, and includes many features (i.e., a Yaskawa motor, ‘Turcite B’ ways, slideways and gibs, and hardened and ground table top and T-slots etc.), all supplied as standard, that are either not available or are supplied as optional extras on competitors’ equivalents.
It’s a similar situation with the manual MACH L-1330 short bed lathe. Again a best-selling model, the L-1330 features a heavy-duty spindle, a rigid headstock, a Newall DRO and induction-hardened and ground gears that ensure high-accuracy turning, whatever material is being machined.
The two CNC toolroom milling machines being showcased at the event both feature the innovative and iconic DynaPath control.
The MDS 845-24T looks like a vertical machining centre, and performs like one too. The machine has a 24-tool position ATC, a 7.5kW/12,000rpm BT 40 spindle, and an 850mm x 420mm table that delivers exceptional cutting performance, unrivalled productivity and improved process efficiencies.
The MDS 900-4T is a smaller but equally capable machine, equipped with Yaskawa drives and featuring a 4-tool position ATC, a BT 40 spindle (3.75kW/5000rpm) and a 1470mm x 320mm worktable.
DynaPath control
The two toolroom mills are equipped with the DynaPath control which is a powerful, flexible and easy-to-use CNC system, capable of accepting multiple program formats and files via its inbuilt USB, ethernet and wireless interfaces.
DynaPath controlled machines can be programmed conversationally if required, and the control boasts a huge 8GB of memory and 10,000-block look ahead capability that help deliver high accuracies, reliable cutting performance and fast and smooth 3D contouring.
Another major selling point of the control is its industry-leading 24/7, Wi-Fi- enabled service and technical support facility that enables remote machine monitoring, trouble-shooting and diagnostics to occur in real time, resulting in reduced machine downtime and higher productivity for customers.
Concludes Dave Andrew: “Southern Manufacturing provides the ideal platform for visitors to find out more about MACH Machine Tools and the range of high-performance machines we sell and support. We urge manufacturers to attend the show, visit our three stands and then to compare and contrast our machines’ quality, performance and value against competitors’ machines. We’re confident they will be both astounded and be pleasantly surprised by what they find.”
