Rofin-Sinar UK is celebrating its twentieth year as one of the world’s leading manufacturers
of sealed CO2 laser sources. In an era when companies come and go, it has achieved two decades of innovation and steady growth.
Rofin-Sinar UK began operations in 1998 in Hull, UK and counts among its many achievements, the development of the world’s fastest vector writing laser and winning the Queen’s Award in both 2007 and 2011.
The company’s relocation to a new, purpose-built facility took place in 2016. The site measures 7,500 m2 and was needed to accommodate the company’s growth in turnover and units shipped. Rofin-Sinar UK now employs more than 180 people at its Hull headquarters and its overseas offices in China, South Korea and Italy.
Andrew Chambers, sales director, concludes: “Our success and longevity are due in part to the advanced capabilities and continuous improvement of our products. They are also the result of the commitment of our skilled and passionate people, including many colleagues who have been with the company since the beginning.”
