Matsuura kicks off 2018 with significant employee investment

Matsuura Machinery Ltd has continued to strengthen its service and sales team with the appointment of five new employees.

Barry Pender, area sales manager for Scotland and Northern Ireland joins Matsuura with a strong background in machine tool solutions and 16 years working for Rolls Royce in a variety of roles including component inspector and CNC machinist.

Barry Pender says: “Throughout my career I’ve always worked with best-in-class companies, so joining the Matsuura team with their commitment to deliver quality products and services is a great opportunity.”

In his new role at Matsuura, Barry Pender will be responsible for accelerating the potential of Matsuura’s product offering and supporting both existing and new customers. Barry Pender will report to Domenic Seminerio, national sales manager at Matsuura.
Joining the service team are Ben Pringle and Leon Boucher, service engineers, further boosting Matsuura’s commitment to providing world class customer service.

Both Ben Pringle and Leon Boucher have many years’ experience in machine tool fitting, service and maintenance and will support customers on a national basis.

With decades of applications experience under his belt, Richard Stretton joins Matsuura as applications engineer, further developing his speciality of 5-axis machining and 4-axis horizontal machining. Richard Stretton has a proven track record in CNC machinery and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Lastly, with 22 years’ experience in business to business marketing, Samantha Brown, marketing communications officer officially joins the marketing team.
