An ever-strong commitment to the sheet metal industry: Prima Power takes on the role of Prima Industrie Group to become the name of the organisation – a step forward in its “Evolve by integration” strategy.
A leading player in the sheet metal industry, Prima Power is a trusted partner for manufacturers globally.
September 2026 marks a defining shift: from the customer-facing brand of the Prima Industrie Group, Prima Power assumes the role and becomes the only identity and name of the organisation, carrying forward a long-standing history of industrial innovation.
The transition reflects the Group’s full commitment to integrated sheet metal manufacturing solutions, following the recent divestiture of all non-strategic business units, as well as targeted M&A investments to strengthen robotic integration capabilities – a further move in the strong process of industrial focus driven by the “Evolve by integration” strategy.
A choice grounded in continuity
For the Group, the new phase represents a natural evolution. Since its launch, Prima Power has become a familiar presence for manufacturers in sheet metal working across sectors. With the brand steadily operating as the market-facing entity, today’s step aligns the identity of the Group with the business. The Group's vision and technological drive are the same: providing integrated solutions that combine machines, software and automation to level up production processes, enhancing productivity and flexibility.
Progress goes on with Prima Power
The expertise of Prima Power stems from the strategic integration of two pioneering companies, sharing a strong customer-centered approach: Prima Industrie (Italy, 1977) and Finn-Power (Finland, 1969), brought together in 2008 as part of the former Prima Industrie Group. This solid industrial heritage, shaped by constant innovation and technological excellence, now keeps living with Prima Power. The name PRIMA was originally born to promise “Progress In Manufacturing Automation” – today, this very drive is carried on by the integrated technologies and systems of Prima Power.
A reaffirmation of focus, for better clarity
As the relationship with customers experiences no change, the evolution into a single-name entity ultimately reasserts the Group’s dedication to sheet metal manufacturing to the industry and stakeholders. The shift is the latest move in the strategy led by Prima Power, “Evolve by integration”, a push forward to industrial focus, process optimisation, and enhanced productivity. A step that also simplifies communication towards greater clarity, to firmly express the Group’s direction.
“This step marks a clear acceleration of Prima Power’s strategy ‘Evolve by integration’. By fully aligning our identity with our business, we further reinforce our commitment to supporting customers in addressing today’s increasingly complex manufacturing challenges, including the skills gap and the shift toward smaller production batches. Looking ahead, we will continue to advance fully integrated, scalable sheet metal manufacturing solutions. We firmly believe that integration is the most effective way to address today’s challenges and level up our customers’ production processes, building on a longstanding approach that begins with their needs and manufacturing plans.”, said Giovanni Negri, CEO of Prima Power.
