Steve Chambers, newly appointed sales director at Unison Ltd.

Unison Ltd, the UK-based inventor of ultra-precise, all-electric tube manipulation, has promoted Steve Chambers to the position of sales director.

Formerly Unison’s sales projects manager, Mr Chambers joined the Scarborough business in 2002 as a CNC machinist, producing parts for Unison’s tube bending machines as well as tooling and consumables. Following a move to the design team, he went on to develop and run the company’s machine shop, before progressing into project management, and then sales in 2018.

As sales director, he will take responsibility for developing Unison’s UK and international customer base, as well as formulating sales strategies with the company’s North American division, Unison Tube LLC.

“I’m looking forward immensely to helping Unison build a strong team for the future and continuing to lead the field through innovative tube and pipe bending technologies and associated products,” he says. “Having risen through the ranks, as you might say, I know every aspect of the business intimately and will use my knowledge for the benefit of Unison and its global customer base.”

“We are delighted to welcome Steve to the Unison Ltd board,” says Unison Ltd’s joint managing director, Alan Pickering. “Steve has more than proved his worth over the years, more latterly as a key member of our sales management team. With his unrivalled expertise, valuable market insight and in-depth understanding of each customer’s manufacturing requirements, he is the perfect individual to help us plan the next phases of our company’s growth. He is also living proof that at Unison there are genuine opportunities for career progression – right up to director level!”
