HURCO ANNOUNCES DECEMBER OPEN HOUSE

Published:

Hurco’s annual end-of-year open house exhibition will be held this year at its High Wycombe showroom on Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th December 2024 from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm each day. Lunch will be provided, as well as refreshments throughout the event. In addition to a showroom full of new Hurco CNC machine tools under power and cutting metal, there is the added attraction that many of Hurco’s primary suppliers will be in attendance. Pre-registration is at www.hurco.com

This year, as many as 20 specialist companies will have their own small stand offering tooling, workholding, CADCAM, metrology, automation, mist extraction, rotary tables, barfeeds, angle heads, probing and machine tool finance. This gives existing Hurco users and potential customers the opportunity to discuss ancillary equipment in a relaxed and informed environment.

Taking centre-stage this year will be a full display of Hurco’s many 5 axis machine configurations. The show is an excellent opportunity for anyone either considering moving into 5-axis for the first time or looking to expand their 5-axis capacity. There will be four different 5-axis machining centres on show, allowing visitors to compare the benefits and limitations of each option. In addition, there will be a conventional 3 axis VMX60Ti fitted with a Kitagawa TT182 rotary-tilt table, giving a further simultaneous 5-axis configuration to consider.

The swivel-head VMX42SRTi and cantilever-design VC500i will be side-by-side with the popular VMX30Ui and direct-drive VMX42UDi trunnion machines. There will additionally be five 3-axis CNC machining centres powered up and making parts. Sizes ranging from the compact, entry-level VM One to the powerful VMX60i with a 12,000 rpm, 40-taper spindle and X, Y, Z travels of 1,525 x 660 x 610 mm.

On display for the first time in the UK, Hurco’s most popular ProCobot option, the ProFeeder X with 10 drawers, will be feeding a VM20i 3-axis machining centre. These plug-and-play automation systems are perfect for producing small to medium batch quantities of components. A simple app appears on the Hurco WinMax control screen and only minimal information needs to be entered to set up a job. There is almost no programming needed. Additionally, users have the reassurance that the ProCobot and the machine tool are supported by the same company.

The expanding range of Hurco CNC turning centres will be represented by the TMX10MYSi driven-tool lathe with Y-axis and sub-spindle, together with a TM8Mi 3-axis, driven-tool turning centre and a TM6i 2-axis lathe. All Hurco CNC turning centres have the benefit of simple conversational programming on the Max 5 control, making one-offs and small batches quick and easy to complete.

As an extra feature this year, used and refurbished machines will be available to view via an access doorway into the main Hurco operations warehouse adjacent to the showroom.
